Since its establishment, FIDO has implemented a wide range of development and humanitarian projects across Oromia, Southern Ethiopia, Somali Regional State, and Addis Ababa City Administration.The organization has worked in HIV prevention, care and treatment services, support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), maternal and child health promotion, malaria prevention, school and health facility construction, youth development, Humanitarian project and gender-based violence (GBV) prevention programs.FIDO has been awarded a USG grant to implement the Sustaining Integrated Community HIV Response in Oromia (SICHRO) project in partnership with ISHDO and Project HOPE. FIDO invites qualified and competent applicants to apply for the following positions: Senior Accountant Duty Station Head Office, Addis Ababa Reports To Finance Manager Employment Type Contract Career Level Senior Level (5+ years of experience) Position Summary The Senior Accountant will oversee daily accounting operations, prepare financial reports, support budget monitoring, donor financial reporting, and audits while strengthen internal financial controls and compliance systems. Key Responsibilities The Senior Accountant will: Maintain complete and accurate accounting records. Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes. Prepare financial statements and management reports. Monitor budgets, expenditures, and cash flow. Ensure transactions are properly authorized, coded, and documented. Assist in donor budgeting and financial reporting. Support internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with organizational financial policies and donor regulations. Recommend improvements to accounting systems and internal controls.
