METI TRADING PLC Import Officer Vacancy Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Employment Type: Full-timeMETI Trading PLC is seeking a proactive, organised Import Officer with relevant experience to manage and coordinate all aspects of the import process, including shipment, customs clearance, and final delivery. Key Responsibilities Coordinate with banks, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs clearing agents. Prepare and verify relevant import documents, including pro forma invoices, commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin. Follow up on import permits, letters of credit, payment arrangements, and banking requirements. Track shipments and coordinate timely clearance and delivery. Monitor import costs, maintain accurate records, and provide regular shipment updates. Work closely with procurement, finance, and warehouse teams to resolve issues and avoid delays. Salary: Negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
