Dispatch Officer

About this role

The Dispatch Officer prepares daily dispatch schedules and trip documentation at the Dire Dawa branch and follows each truck through to delivery. Key Duties and Responsibilities Prepare daily dispatch schedules and trip documentation. Record truck assignments, driver details, cargo information, and departure times. Coordinate truck and driver assignments with the dispatch team. Track vehicle movements and follow up on cargo delivery status. Communicate with drivers about trip progress, delays, and operational issues. Maintain accurate dispatch records and update the relevant systems. Report breakdowns, delivery delays, and other dispatch problems to the supervisor. Support preparation of daily dispatch reports.
